One cookie, and it isn't watching you

Section 01

Why there is no cookie banner#

Because there is nothing to ask you about. Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — advertising, cross-site tracking, anything that builds a profile of you. This site sets none of those, so a banner would be theatre: a box asking permission for something we are not doing.

We would rather not run trackers than run them and ask you to click a button about it.

Section 02

What this site actually sets#

• pik_preview — set only if you open the site with a preview key, which is how we show unreleased pages to ourselves and to partners. It holds that key so you stay unlocked as you move around, and it expires after 30 days. Strictly necessary; no consent required. Visiting normally never sets it.
• Nothing else. No advertising cookie, no Meta or TikTok pixel, no Google Ads tag, no session recorder, no chat widget.

Section 03

Statistics without cookies#

We do measure whether the site works — which pages get read and how fast they load — using Vercel’s analytics. It is cookieless by design: it sets nothing on your device and builds no identifier that follows you between sites or between visits. What we see is counts, not people.

Section 04

Checkout is a different domain#

When the shop opens, paying happens on Shopify’s checkout, which runs on its own domain. Shopify sets its own cookies there — a shopping cart cannot work without them — and those are governed by Shopify’s policies as well as ours. That is the one place on the journey where cookies you did not get from us come into play.

Section 05

Turning them off#

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. Doing it here costs you nothing except that a preview link will stop remembering you. Nothing else on the site depends on one.
